SWEETEST LINES EVER :)

I think I practically memorized these lines. It’s so cute it warms the heart. So it is possible that a guy could write something like this, something as touching. :)

Tapang naman ni Gerald Anderson! =)))

It left the country (specifically Manila) helpless. More than 200 people died and left thousands of Filipinos homeless and peniless. It’s really one of the most disastrous events to ever hit the country. The aftermath of the typhoon made me cry. People lost their loved ones, their houses and have to get by with the little that’s left. People flocked to relocation sites but even that’s not enough of a help. In one area, 3,000 people huddle together and they only have 2 toilets. It’s such a sad state that one can’t help but shed a tear for them. The places that were badly hit were Marikina, Quezon, Pasig, Taguig, Paranaque, etc.

Days after the onslaught of Bagyong Ondoy, people from different parts of the Philippines, and even across the globe, donated money, canned goods, clothes, basically anything that could be of use and of basic need. Everybody was praying for the safety of the Filipinos. Prayer, after all, is the most powerful weapon. Everybody came together in this precarious time and helped each other out with whatever they can. Our family did a bit of cleaning in our cabinets and donated as much clothes as we can and gave it to Assumption to be shipped off to Manila. It warms the heart to know that people care, people really still care. Even artists from all over the globe showed their concern. Josh Groban, Channing Tatum, Alyssa Milano and other international stars tweeted nonstop about helping the Philippines. The United States, Canada, UK, all donated something and for that we are truly thankful. Hang in there, Philippines.

HEY, LITTLE LAYDEEEH

October 4, 2009

I’ve been sick for almost a week now. Not really sick like I have to have bedrest or anything like that. I just have the sniffles and the cough. It’s killing me though. I don’t know what to do. I’v ebeen drinking my meds. Oh well.

Anyway, I just decided to blog about…. finally being 18.

Not much has changed (as expected). I’m still the same person I was a couple of days ago. I still can’t drink, can’t date, can’t get a tattoo (not that I want one). Except now I feel like I’m freer- in a sense. The one thing that’s good about my birthday is that I’ve never felt so loved. People greeted me and gave gifts. There were a few surprises that really shocked me, a few that got me pissed but ended up laughing about it in the end. Overall, it was exactly the birthday that I wanted. No big fuss, just a great dinner with family and friends. People really made me feel special and I’m really thankful I have them in my life. I won’t name any names but you know who you are. Ily. :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I’m turning 18. FCK.

I don’t want to turn eighteen yet! I wanna go back to highschool where I was comfortable inside the four walls of Assumption. I worried about nothing except what to eat for Recess and Dismissal time (lunch is negligible at AC). Now, there are more things to worry about- college exams, money, boys, social events, staying out of prison, staying sober while out of prison, etc. The last two were jokes, btw. Well, kind of. =))

Anywaaaaay, I just don’t feel enthusiastic about finally being legal. It’s not that big of a deal anyway. At least, I don’t think so. I don’t get the whole debut party. The dress, 18 roses, 18 candles, etc. BLAAAAAH. I don’t like any of that. I’m usually a shy person and I don’t want people to stare at me, I don’t like being the center of attention. It’s an uncomfortable feeling. Seriously. I’d rather go on a beach trip with friends. And that’s exactly what will happen. See you on Oct guys!!!! :D Aside from the trip with friends outside of Panay, nothing changes that much for me. Dad still won’t let me drink, won’t let me go out past 4, won’t let me have a boyfriend, blahblahblah. So much for finally growing up. Well, at least there’s one thing to be thankful for turning 18- I get to vote. HAHAHAHAHA, LAME. But… with dad being a lawyer and all, it makes me feel like I should do something to help this country. I am after all, a good person. At least I like to think so. ;)

So, I guess, Happy Birthday to me? LORD, HELP.

I HAVEN’T POSTED IN A LOOOONG WHILE. OHLORDIE.

For my dear readers (if there are any), I’m very very sorry. I have been really busy with school and other events. No, it’s just not debut parties but different events that actually benefit other people other than myself for once. I’ve attended talks, fundraisers, etc. and it’s a lot of fun, I tell you.

So, what’s up with me and everybody here lately? Well, let’s see. The weather’s been a total bitch lately. Gna-PMS gro. It keeps on having these mood swings. Sunny- not sunny; Sun-Rain; Good-crappy. It’s so annoying that I don’t even know what to wear anymore! Mt outfits get screwed up bcos of it. Imagine going to school in shorts then end up freezing to death bcos of the wind and chills in the afternoon? God, I have to ride the freakin’ tricycle just to get to the dorm to change. Aaah, UP Miami. The things I do for you. Anyway, you know what ticks me off aside from the weather? Teachers who don’t show up! Sure, you enjoy not having classes but when it’s pouring rain out and you provide the effort of going to class and find out that the class was cancelled, it’s really a bummer. Biiiiiig, freakin’ bummer. Wish they would text or something. What’s facebook (add me up!) here for anyway?

Holy… I’m ranting. Okay, I’ll just rant in this whole blog entry. Just let me be. I need to release this. I neeeeeed to. Okay, so where was I? Oh yeah. No classes. After that, I’m sort of pissed off about our reportings. I mean, it’s been three meetings and I still haven’t had the chance to report! Akon na tani turn kagina but then…. nadugayan pa! And so, next meeting nlg ko. First reporter. DAMNIT TO HELL! I have to wait for two more daaays. Ugh. And I still haven’t gotten over the fact that I was chosen to model for our Hinugyaw modeling competition but had to back out because of my medical condition. I’m like a vegetable. What else can’t I doooo? WHAT ELSE?! Fck. You know, the only thing that’s been keeping me sane and happy are bags and watching FRIENDS on youtube. Okay, I’m sort of okay right now. I just needed to get that out. Now, on to bigger things.

FORMER PRESIDENT CORAZON ‘CORY’ AQUINO DIED.  You know, even though I wasn’t born at the time the People Power happened, seeing the videos and pictures made me feel proud to be a Filipino. We really are fighters. Even the humblest citizens know how to stand up for their rights and be counted. Filipinos love their homeland. They will fight for it, the laban sign says it all. I cried while I watched Cory Aquino’s cortege traveling to the memorial park. Thousands of people followed the cortege wearing yellow and flashing the laban sign. It brought tears to my eyes seeing how, even until now, the Filipinos remain united. Thank you, Tita Cory. Maraming Salamat Po. :)

Everybody, sing with me!

 GOODBYE, MJ. ;'(

YOU WILL LIVE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER.

THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER THAT EVER LIVED

THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER THAT EVER LIVED

Okaaaay, so things are really starting to get out of hand. At first, dad just bought hand sanitizers and vitamins for each of us to be protected from A(H1N1) or swine flu. That was okay. But then, at around 11am this morning, there was a report that said there is one confirmed case of H1N1 at Assumption-Iloilo. Parents hurried to fetch their kids, but the students were detained inside the school for about and hour and the parents were frantically pacing in the waiting area. The cars were jammed, bumper to bumper, because of the number of people coming to fetch their kids. About 80% (or more, I’m not sure) of the students goingto school in AC have private cars and therefore, the traffic being caused by the school inside and outside of the facility is just horrible. But anyway, the students were released after they were given loads of assignments to be answered while they’re at home because they will be quarantined for a bout 10 days. I’m not feeling envious at all. I’d rather go to school than do assignments at home. UGH. Anyway, so because of this, I bet dad’s going to be more careful, therefore pushing it to the limit because he is somewhat a paranoid freak about things like this. God help us.

So, there are 2 confirmed cases of H1N1 in Iloilo City right now and there could be more, we just don’t know. I just wish people would stop overreacting because dangerous as it is, we don’t eed any more chaos. I’m sick of it, to be honest. Let’s just be careful and vigilant but let’s not overdo it. PLEASE? :)

Due to life-threatening boredom, a person would be forced to save his/her life, therofre making him/her vulnerable to any type of shit that make come his/her way just to avoid being forever sucked into such a monotonous dark hole of sadness and unsatisfaction. My life has been, fortunately, saved.

Now, I will introduce to you my life-saver……

AMEN.

AMEN.

Go ahead, try it. It’s incredibly entertaining. :)))
